Our huge range of double steel security doors is manufactured using premium-grade galvanised steel and finished with a durable polyester powder coat, available in a wide range of RAL colours. All doors are pre-hung in a steel frame and supplied with tested hardware for fast, secure installation of both door and frame.

Security ratings classify a door's resistance to attack, enabling you to select the right door for your specific needs. They are defined by the LPCB (Loss Prevention Certification Board) and aligned with LPS 1175 standards:

• PAS 24: A basic security standard for domestic and light commercial applications.
• SR2: Protection against opportunistic attacks using basic tools such as screwdrivers, knives, and pliers.
• SR3: Suitable for environments at higher risk, withstanding attacks from more robust tools like crowbars and drills.
• SR4: Designed to resist determined attackers using heavy-duty equipment like axes, jigsaws, and cordless grinders.

Fire-rated doors are tested to assess how long they can resist fire, heat, and smoke to help contain a blaze and allow for safe evacuation.

At Kenfield, our fire-rated steel doors comply with BS EN 1634-1, the leading standard for fire resistance of door sets in the UK. Depending on the model, our double doors offer the following levels of fire protection:

• FD30: Provides 30 minutes of fire resistance
• FD60: Provides 60 minutes of fire resistance
• FD120: Provides 120 minutes (2 hours) of fire resistance
• FD240: Provides up to 240 minutes (4 hours) of fire resistance

Fire doors are constructed with specialist core materials and intumescent seals that expand under heat to block smoke and flames. All fire-rated models are independently tested and certified to ensure compliance with building regulations.
